How it works

It follows your rules every trading day, and tells you what it did

LaabhAI runs quietly on your own computer. Here is what a normal day looks like, how much say you keep, and the limits it always stays within.

A day with LaabhAI

  1. 08:30 IST

You get the Zerodha login link on Telegram. Zerodha’s login expires every morning, so it is one tap a day. If you miss it, you are reminded at 08:50 and 09:10.

  2. 08:40 IST

Morning check: it looks at what changed overnight for your holdings and today’s planned trades, and sends a short brief.

  3. 09:20 IST

It places the day’s orders, all as limit orders at a set price, with a stop-loss for every new buy.

  4. 09:30 to 15:15 IST

Every 15 minutes it checks prices against your rules and loss limits, and acts only if a rule says so.

  5. 16:05 IST

End-of-day report: what was bought and sold, today’s profit or loss, and anything queued for tomorrow.

  6. 19:00 IST

Evening review: it studies the day and prepares tomorrow’s plan.

  7. Sunday 10:00 IST

Weekly review: the week’s numbers, shown next to the Nifty 50 index so you can compare honestly.

All times are India time on trading days, except the weekly review. On NSE holidays it rests. You can check on it any time by sending /status on Telegram, or ask why it holds a stock with /explain and the stock’s symbol.

You choose how much say you keep

Approve each order on Telegram

Every order LaabhAI wants to place is sent to you first, with the reason. You reply approve and the order’s tag to go ahead, or reject. If you do not answer within 20 minutes, nothing is placed.

Fully on its own, inside your limits

LaabhAI places orders without asking, always inside the limits below, and tells you what it did. You switch this on yourself with a command that asks you to confirm you understand the risks, and it starts at half size.

You choose the mode at setup and can change it any time. Paper mode is the default and what we recommend first, but the choice is yours: you can start with approve-each-order or fully autonomous mode on day one. Before any real-money choice, LaabhAI shows you its own test results (laabh gate) as information; they never block you. Autonomous mode needs you to type an acknowledgement that real money is at risk, and starts at half size until 20 clean live days pass. There is also a watch-only mode that sends research and reports from your real account but never places an order.

Paper mode comes first

Every new install starts in paper mode: LaabhAI uses real market prices but simulated orders and a simulated account, and nothing is sent to Zerodha. You get the same messages and reports as the real thing, so you can see how it behaves, and whether it suits you, before any real money is involved.

Limits it always keeps

These limits are built in and checked before every order, in every mode. They reduce risk; they do not remove it.

No more than 15% in one stock

A single company never takes more than 15% of the money you gave LaabhAI to manage, measured at the price paid.

No more than 25% in one sector

Banks, IT, pharma and so on are each capped at a quarter of your money, so one industry cannot sink the portfolio.

At most 12 stocks at a time

Few enough to keep track of, with at most 4 new stocks added on any one day.

Some cash always kept aside

At least 5% of the money stays in cash; it never invests more than 95%.

A daily loss limit you choose

If the day’s loss reaches your limit (2%, 3% or 5% depending on the preset you pick), new buys stop until you tell it to carry on. Monthly and overall limits work the same way.

A stop-loss on every buy

Each new purchase gets a stop-loss sell order at Zerodha once it fills, so there is a floor even if your computer is off.

Never derivatives

No futures and no options, ever. Only ordinary shares, bought to hold.

Never margin

No borrowed money and no intraday leverage. It only spends cash that is already in your account.

You can pause it at any moment: send /halt on Telegram or run laabh halt, and new buys stop at once. Selling to reduce risk is never blocked. See how to stop it.

LaabhAI executes the rules you configured in your own account; it is not investment advice; losses are possible.
