How much does LaabhAI cost?
Nothing. LaabhAI is free, with no subscription and no payment link.
To run it you need Claude Code, which comes with a Claude Pro or Max plan that you pay Anthropic for (the free Claude plan does not include it). Zerodha’s usual charges and taxes on each trade apply, just as if you placed the trade yourself.
Is this investment advice?
No. LaabhAI is software that applies a written set of rules in your own account, within the limits you set. It does not give personal recommendations, tips or signals, and it is not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser or research analyst.
Can I lose money?
Yes. Share prices go down as well as up, and you can lose some or all of the money you give LaabhAI to manage.
Its limits are there to keep losses in check: a stop-loss on every buy, no more than 15% in one stock or 25% in one sector, some cash always kept aside, and a daily loss limit that stops new buys. They reduce risk; they cannot remove it. For example, if a share opens sharply lower, a stop-loss may sell at a lower price than you expected.
Which broker does it work with?
Zerodha. You need your own Zerodha (Kite) account. You log in on Zerodha’s own page each morning; LaabhAI never sees your Zerodha password.
Which stocks does it trade?
Shares listed on the NSE, chosen from the Nifty 500, that trade actively every day. It buys shares to hold (delivery), using limit orders at a set price.
Does it trade penny stocks?
No. A stock is only considered if it is in the Nifty 500, has been listed for about a year, has at least ₹5 crore of shares changing hands on a typical day, and has rarely hit its daily price limit recently. Thinly traded and penny stocks are left out.
What will it never do?
It never trades futures or options, never uses borrowed money, margin or intraday leverage, and never places market orders. It never asks for your Zerodha password and cannot move money out of your account.
Can it trade international markets?
No. LaabhAI trades Indian shares on the NSE only.
Do you see my data?
Not by default. Your settings, your Zerodha login, your order history and your reports stay on your own computer. Any sharing with us is optional and off unless you say yes; the privacy notice lists exactly what would be shared and how to switch it off.
To do its job, your computer talks to Zerodha (prices, holdings and orders), to Anthropic through your own Claude Code login (the AI reads a summary of your holdings, cash, settings and the day’s market news), to public market-data and news websites, and to Telegram or your email provider if you set them up.
What happens if my computer sleeps or switches off?
LaabhAI can only run its checks while your computer is on and awake. If it goes quiet, you get a Telegram alert and a watchdog tries to restart it; wake the computer if it is asleep. On Windows, stay signed in (a locked screen is fine; signing out stops it).
Stop-loss orders already placed at Zerodha keep protecting your holdings even while your computer is off. If you miss the morning login, it will not place new buys that day.
Does it work on Windows?
Yes. Windows 10 and 11 are supported, as are Macs with macOS 13 or newer.
Should I start in paper mode?
We recommend it, and it is the default, but the choice is yours. Paper mode uses real market prices with simulated orders and a simulated account, and sends you the same messages and reports, so you see exactly how LaabhAI behaves before any real money is involved. You can start with approve-each-order or fully autonomous mode on day one instead; before any real-money choice LaabhAI shows you its own test results (laabh gate) as information. Autonomous mode needs you to type an acknowledgement that real money is at risk, and starts at half size until 20 clean live days pass. Real orders are sent only in a real-money mode you chose, and every buy carries a stop-loss order.
How do I uninstall it?
Stop it, remove the plugin, then delete its files. Your Zerodha account and holdings stay exactly as they are. Copy the ~/.laabhai folder somewhere first if you want to keep your reports.
Finally, you can revoke the connection in your Zerodha account settings, and delete the Telegram bot you made for it if you like. Zerodha’s login also expires on its own every morning.
